Ron gets started! He cut a strip around the field to take and test for moisture!
Once he returned with the good news, off we went! I sat on the combine and watched the grain fall into the tubs then filled the bucket of Jason's tractor!
We had so many we needed a grain wagon! It was almost half full when we finished!
It was hot, sweaty, and completely filthy! I looked like a mud ball when we finally finished!
Very happy yet another project is complete! We even scored a few bales of straw out of the deal!

Taking a break from the building!
My sunflowers are blooming like crazy! They are SOOOO Pretty!
The corn isn't growing much..only about 4-5 foot tall but the ears are coming on!
The zuchinni is doing well!
So are the peanuts!
The oats are starting to turn a golden brown..almost ready for harvest!
And the watermelon are starting to really take off!
I planted about 5 different varieties of sunflowers along the roadside of the garden.
I think the red ones are my favorites!
Here is a view facing the east! Sunflowers galore!

We try to decide on what cabinets will work!
We have to move the cabinets so the new crew can start working on our messed up concrete. We decide to try to lay them out how we want them as we move them. We have had them for several months and forgot how many there were!
They need a little work, but they will be perfect! I think there will be enough left over to put in my shop and over the laundry area!
These will be the front bar/sink area. They face the South. The 2 door one will be where the sink goes!
These will line the wall to the North. So there will be about 4 feet between them and the first wall of the living quarters will be right behind them.
This is what is left after we layed out the kitchen! I think we did really good on this purchase!
