Lights!

 I finally get to break out the outdoor lights! We bought these before the building ever went up!

 The first one is up! Look better than we ever expected!

 Milee helps place electrical boxes in the living quarters..or at least thinks she is helping..maybe a little play time is in order!

 The front lights are placed perfectly next to the doors! Now for the West side of the walkway!

 They are soooo pretty! Can't wait to see them lite up!

They are all up! It looks amazing!

Electricity!?!? We are still working off of the same poor extention cord!

 Jason has been working hard to get ready for the electricity! The exterior power box is almost ready!

 Again we dig! Just when we think we are almost done digging! The electrical line is layed to the building!

With Brian's help we finish up our part of the electricity! Now for the power company to bring in the service!

Jason covers in the line and we make our appointment for the electrical company!

The walls are all up!

 The walls are almost done! Have the office, the bedroom, and working on the laundry! Yeah, finally making some progress on the living quarters!

 This is from the west enterance going into the bathroom! It's finally starting to look like the drawings we have been working on for over a year now!

Measuring, nailing, and measuring again! This is how we have been spending our weekends!

August went by fast!

 We hired a company to "fix" our concrete in the living quarters. What started as a few day job turned into the entire month!

And this is what it looks like after! Wish we would have never done this! These guys have the guts to say "it's within industry standards". Yep..no pay for them!

Walls Anyone?

 The East wall of my shop is framed!

 This is the South wall of my shop!

 This is the North wall!

And we got most of the bedroom done! Progress is happening again!

This Week Started With a Bang!

We have CONCRETE! The patio and front pad are FINALLY poured!

 There is actually concrete to walk around the living quarters!

 We can now sit on the front porch rather than inside the frame boards.

 And no more rocks and weeds along the living quarters!

 The stamp looks awesome!

 The front approach is great!

 They did a great job of picture framing each section!

 It's starting to look really good from the outside!

The first truck was here bright and early!

 And the guys worked really hard in 100 + degree weather!

 By afternoon, the patio was complete and they were finishing the prep work for the approach!

 They drove the concrete truck all the way around the back of the building!

Now with a little luck, some avid watering, and some cooperation with the weather it will not crack from drying too fast and we can enjoy it until.....FOREVER!

Time to Harvest the OATS!

 Ron gets started! He cut a strip around the field to take and test for moisture!

 Once he returned with the good news, off we went! I sat on the combine and watched the grain fall into the tubs then filled the bucket of Jason's tractor!

 We had so many we needed a grain wagon! It was almost half full when we finished!

 It was hot, sweaty, and completely filthy! I looked like a mud ball when we finally finished!

Very happy yet another project is complete! We even scored a few bales of straw out of the deal!
