The Crew is almost done with Phase 1

The tin is flying this morning!
 The interior posts are placed!
The concrete crew is leveling the floor! Had a minor setback here! The construction crew wasn't aware of the heated flooring so much of the rock pad had to be removed!
The windows look great! Couldn't have matched the color any better if we had ordered them! Craigslist...what a wonderful thing!
Since the concrete crew is on site..we had to adjust the walkway too! Glad we have been on site everyday to catch the little things that will make us much happier in the long run!
Here is the "living quarters" side! Wow..it looks like alot of space!
And here is the rock that had to be removed! Almost as much as we had for just in case! A little frustrated..but at least it will be right!
The North side in completely covered!
And most of the West side! We had a minor setback yesterday with the wind catching one of the windows before it was installed and breaking! So, this morning Stacie took the broken one back to the city and picked up the one we had broken when we bought them!

Looks alot different from the North property Line!
Amazing how different the place looks!
From the East it really fills the space!

Busy Friday!

Jason started the day by setting up the camera and checking in with the crew. I got to sleep in until 9 a.m. and he came back to the city! We ordered garage doors, checked on the window in the shop, and packed up for the weekend!
We got back just in time for the crew to be wrapping things up! Wow, it is amazing how far they have come in a week! Can't tell, but I am SOOO excited! :)

End of Week 1

 The walkway is framed in!
 The doors have arrived!
Wow! It's looking great! Amazing how much they got done in a week! We will spend the weekend soaking it up, cleaning up the scraps, and finishing a few projects!

Even looks Great at Night!

Jason took a minute to admire the rising moon!
And capture the beauty of the evening sky!
This is but one reason we love this place! You can see all the way around and we will be able to enjoy the sunsets as well as sunrises!
The moon is supposed to be the biggest tomorrow night, but it's pretty amazing tonight!

Day 4 The Wrap around porch takes shape!

The Wrap around porch is the priority today!
They are getting the roof all framed in!
And putting all the trim around the roof!
You can't miss it now! You can almost see it from town!
The rafters are coming together! Will have tin on the walkway soon!

Day 3..Lots of progress today!

After lunch they decided to start on the roof! Originally they were going to wait for the winds to die down! But since Stacie has to work tomorrow, they decided to let her see it go on! :)
It didn't take them long to do the first side! Despite the windy conditions all went well!
The entire roof has tin! Now it's time to unveil the cupolas! They look pretty big on the ground!
Carried to the roof and handed off without any troubles! I think these guys have done this before!
Of course the tractor goes on the front one! Stacie lost that battle fair and square!
But don't worry! She still got her rooster!
On the outer truss Stacie decided to let the world see just who owns this property! Vintage Acres in the middle and Herring above with Stacie and Jason to either end! Jason got a kick out of it!
Tired of it being "the old Rollins place"..now it will be know as Vintage Acres!

Day 3

The Trusses are going on! It is really starting to look like a barn!
They are flying! Each member of the crew has their place!
They are tying the trusses together as fast as the crane truck can lift them into place!
The crane truck has to move outside of the building to place the last few!
It's not even lunch time! They put the trusses up in an hour and 40 minutes! Pretty close to a record for the crew!
This is the last one to go up! Wow! It is unbelievable how big they are!
All trusses are in place! It's really taking shape!
