Jason has to work today, so Milee and I continue to dig! The show must go on! The trench in the front is the water line and the one closest to Milee is for the electricity to come into the building!
We finished the electrical trench! Now only two left to dig to the edge of the walkway!
Then we finish the water trench! Wow! We are glad we bought that new spade! Even Milee is tired!
But she did manage to help some! It was pretty funny watching her get down in the hole and dig! Of course she was focused on the task of getting ahold of a root!

The trenches are filling up!
The first of 4 trenches is all but filled. This one is for future utilities! The two pipes will be stubbed into the utility room for "just in case".
We made some great progress on the sewer lines! The one to the far left is for the washer, then the rear one is for the drain in the utility room, the middle is for the shower, and the front will go to the sink in the shop!
This is the outside of the 4th trench! For some reason, there wasn't a picture of the hole Stacie dug! But it goes all the way beyond the form board! At least one down, only 3 to go! Jason says I am only good for one trench a day! ..WORN OUT!
This is the trench for the water coming in! We put some sand in the bottom to stretch our pex from the well and to lay a line for future water district hook up if we decide to do so! The path to the left goes into the utility room!
The drain boxes are placed! They go across the front of the garage part! Don't want to fill them in just yet, we need to double check on the concrete level and make sure the hoist isn't too low!

The Hoist Goes IN!
The hole is complete and the hoist is going in today!
Good thing Jason bought this tractor (he tells me that almost daily!) They use it to lift the huge hoist into place!
They finally get it upright and the plan is coming together!
And in the door it goes! This hoist is over 8 ft deep and 6 ft wide!
Placement is crucial! We don't want it to be angled, too deep, too shallow...it's gotta be just right! Phil and Ron got roped into helping! Lorraine is taking pictures! Stacie had to work..ummm..I'm thinking she got the better end of the deal this weekend! lol
And down it goes! Slow and steady Boys!
Looking good! Ron is helping to make sure it's lined up right!
And it's in! Now they need to double check to make sure it's level! Hope nothing settles! Measures out perfect!

What a PRODUCTIVE weekend!
We got almost all of the inside digging done! The Mule hauled alot of dirt out! So..I got some landscaping done too! BONUS!
Jason even got most of the pit dug for the hoist..almost 9 feet deep!

Wow! This is alot of work...
We marked out the utility room and laundry area!
The rest of the utility room..gotta have lots of space for the well pump, hot water heater, heated floor manifold, and maybe even a furnace!!
Here's the closet and walkway to the bathroom from the bedroom on the left.
Jason has the hang of the excavator..digging is going pretty fast! Thank goodness for equipment! By hand we would have been at this for weeks!
Here is our kitchen..the left ditch is one row of cabinets..the right is the other..the line down the middle is the drain for the kitchen sink!
Holy Cow..there's an excavator in my bedroom!

The plumbing begins...
We started laying out the plans!
Painted lines, layed out connections, and discussed exactly where everything is going to be!
Looking like the plan will work!
and Jason gets into position with the excavator...
and the digging gets underway!
The Mule is our new "mini" dump truck!
Then for the well! It's working great so why not use it! Except for the snakes..
